Stablished in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, and founded in 1986, it is
a civil right society with no lucrative purpose which aims the development
of human arts in every levels attaching the public and private sources,
having its principles based on artistical, cultural and educational formation.
The actions and projects of this institution include fields such culture,
education, health, citizenship, tourism and environment. The Royal
Academy of Dance of London supports and permits conditions towards the
development of our members and the community where we are set.
The company presents about 80 times a year in the larger cities of Mato
Grosso and participates in national and international events, agricultural
markets, seminars, congress and others, including a cultural interchange
with indigenous villages.
It was invited by the Agronomy College from the Technical University
of Lisbon, a 70-years old institution. It was a tournée at Portugal
(Lisbon, Coimbra and Bragança, in December, 2000).
Main Shows
“Carmen de
Bizet” (1985 – 1988): by Luis Carlos Nogueira, this work is
considered the first season of dance in Mato Grosso.
“Da Terra
– Histórias do Brasil” (“From Earth – History
of Brazil”) (1986 – 1988): by Luis Carlos Nogueira, it was
presented in the IV Dancing Festival of Joinville - Santa Catarina, in
São Paulo and in many other cities of Mato Grosso.
“Hip Hop
Rodeio” (1998 – 2003): by Kelson Panosso, a purpose towards
our reality, especially in the countryside of Brazil, where the rural
roots add to urban life, outcoming a country style. About 60,000 people
have joined it. The company participated in national and international
events like the Rodeo in Barretos – São Paulo, considered
the third largest in the world, and also the XXIII International Rodeo
of Vacaria – Rio Grande do Sul.
“A Epopéia
do Descobrimento – Brasil 1500” (“The Discovery period
– Brazil 1500”) (1999 – 2000): by Kelson Panosso, celebrating
500 years of discovery of Brazil. It was presented in important events
such : V Dancing Festival of Recife; XVIII Dancing Festival of Joinville
– Santa Catarina; I Dancing Festival conducted by the Brazilian
Council in Goiânia – Goiás (rewarded 1st position in
classical style); VIII International Dancing Festival of Mercosul, in
Bento Gonçalves – Rio Grande do Sul (rewarded second position
in contemporary and professional jazz). It was presented in December 2000
in Lisbon, Coimbra and Bragança (Portugal).
“Cuiabá
dos meus Sonhos” (“Cuiabá of my Dreams”) (2000
– 2004): by Kelson Panosso, it is a work that fuses the classical
and native style of dance. A very universal and current language was used
and important composers and interpreters enriched the concert. The company
reached first place on the Cultural Action of Mato Grosso – 2000.
“Mato Grosso
meu Sertão” (“Mato Grosso, my back Country”)
(2001– 2004): by Kelson Panosso, this is the company’s most
updated cultural production, including a contemporary style of dance and
targets the diffusion of Mato Grosso culture and arts. The company has
presented in many cities in Mato Grosso, showing the indigenous village
of Formoso river, Parecis tribe in Tangará da Serra – Mato
Grosso.
